4. Browser Extensions
players.cards offers browser extensions, including the Players.Cards Chrome Extension, that allow users to upload statistics and data from third-party platforms (such as GameChanger and Hudl) directly into the Services. The following terms govern the use of browser extensions:
4.1 Extension Functionality
Browser extensions provided by players.cards are designed to facilitate the transfer of statistics and data from third-party stat-tracking platforms into the Services. Extensions may:
- Access and extract data from third-party websites (such as GameChanger and Hudl) that you visit while using the extension.
- Upload extracted data directly to your Players.Cards account and team profiles.

4.2 User Responsibilities

4.3 Third-Party Platform Compliance
Players.Cards is not responsible for ensuring that your use of browser extensions complies with the terms of service of third-party platforms (such as GameChanger or Hudl). You are solely responsible for reviewing and complying with all applicable terms of service, privacy policies, and usage restrictions of third-party platforms. Any violations of third-party platform terms are your sole responsibility.
4.4 Data Accuracy and Liability
While browser extensions are designed to accurately extract and transfer data, Players.Cardsdoes not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data transferred through extensions. You are responsible for verifying all uploaded data and correcting any errors. Players.Cards bears no liability for any inaccuracies, data loss, or errors that may occur during the data transfer process.

players.cards reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue browser extensions at any time without notice. Extensions may become unavailable due to changes in third-party platform structures, browser compatibility issues, or other technical reasons. Players.Cards is not responsible for any interruptions in extension functionality or inability to use extensions.
5. Tournament Registration
Our platform facilitates tournament registrations, but all registration agreements are solely between the tournament organizing organization and the end user. players.cards is not a party to these agreements and bears no responsibility for any disputes, refund requests, or other issues that may arise between tournament organizers and participants. Furthermore, players.cardsshall not be held liable for any injuries, deaths, or other damages that may occur during tournament participation. By registering for tournaments through our platform, you acknowledge that you are entering into an agreement with the tournament organizer, not with players.cards.
When a team or player registers for an event, the team's staff information (including coaches, administrators, and other designated contacts) may be shared with the event organizer to facilitate communication, scheduling, and event operations. Event organizers may only access staff information for teams that have actually registered for or attended their events. Teams that are added to an organizer's records without registering for an event will not have their staff details exposed beyond what the organizer manually enters themselves.
6. Payment Processing and Direct Charges
players.cards provides payment processing services through Stripe for organizations offering tournaments, camps, products, gate entry fees, and other services through our platform. The following terms govern payment processing and the direct charge Stripe flow.
6.1 Direct Charge Stripe Flow
Organizations using the direct charge Stripe flow (where payments are processed directly to the organization's Stripe account) are solely responsible for all refunds and disputes related to transactions processed through this payment method. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Processing refunds for tournament registrations, camp registrations, product purchases, gate entry fees, and other services.
- Responding to and resolving payment disputes, chargebacks, and payment reversals initiated by customers or payment processors.
- Handling all customer service inquiries related to payments, refunds, and billing issues.
- Covering any fees, penalties, or costs associated with refunds, disputes, or chargebacks.
- Maintaining compliance with all applicable payment processing regulations and requirements.
6.2 Platform Role and Limitations
players.cards acts solely as a technology platform that facilitates payment processing through Stripe. We provide the infrastructure and tools for organizations to accept payments, but we are not a party to any payment transactions and bear no responsibility for:
- Processing refunds or handling refund requests from customers.
- Resolving payment disputes, chargebacks, or payment reversals.
- Determining the validity of refund requests or payment disputes.
- Covering any costs, fees, or penalties associated with refunds or disputes.
- Guaranteeing payment processing accuracy or timeliness.
All payment transactions, refunds, and disputes are handled directly between the organization and the customer through Stripe. Players.Cards is not responsible for any financial obligations, liabilities, or consequences arising from payment processing, refunds, or disputes.
6.3 Organization Responsibilities
Organizations using the direct charge Stripe flow are solely responsible for:
- Establishing clear refund policies and communicating them to customers before purchase.
- Processing all refund requests in a timely manner according to their stated policies and applicable laws.
- Responding to and resolving all payment disputes and chargebacks through Stripe's dispute resolution process.
- Maintaining adequate funds in their Stripe account to cover refunds, chargebacks, and associated fees.
- Complying with all applicable payment processing regulations, consumer protection laws, and Stripe's terms of service.
- Providing customer support for all payment-related inquiries and issues.
6.4 Customer Responsibilities
Customers making purchases through the direct charge Stripe flow acknowledge that:
- All payment transactions are processed directly with the organization, not with {getCurrentDomainName()}.
- Refund requests must be submitted directly to the organization, not to {getCurrentDomainName()}.
- Payment disputes and chargebacks will be handled directly between the customer and the organization through Stripe.
- {getCurrentDomainName()} is not responsible for processing refunds or resolving payment disputes.
6.5 Platform Liability Protection
Players.Cards bears no liability for any issues, disputes, or problems that arise from payment processing, refunds, or disputes related to the direct charge Stripe flow, including but not limited to:
- Refund requests, denied refunds, or delayed refunds.
- Payment disputes, chargebacks, or payment reversals.
- Payment processing errors, delays, or failures.
- Fees, penalties, or costs associated with refunds or disputes.
- Financial losses resulting from payment processing issues.
Organizations agree to indemnify and hold harmless Players.Cards, its affiliates, and its officers from any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from payment processing, refunds, or disputes related to the direct charge Stripe flow.
6.6 Vendor and Organization Financial Responsibilities
Organizations and vendors (collectively referred to as "Organizations") that use the platform to process payments, sell products, or offer services are subject to the following financial terms and responsibilities:
6.6.1 Financial Responsibility for Refunds
Organizations are solely and financially responsible for all refunds related to their transactions, products, or services sold through the platform. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Processing refunds for all transactions, regardless of the reason for the refund request.
- Covering the full amount of refunds, including any transaction fees, platform fees, or processing costs.
- Maintaining sufficient funds in their account or Stripe account to cover all potential refund obligations.
- Handling all refund requests in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and their stated refund policies.
Players.Cards is not responsible for processing refunds on behalf of Organizations, and Organizations acknowledge that they bear full financial responsibility for all refund obligations.
6.6.2 Clawback of Future Earnings
If an Organization's account balance becomes negative due to refunds, chargebacks, disputes, fees, or other financial obligations, players.cards reserves the right to claw back future earnings to cover the negative balance. This means:
- Future payments, earnings, or payouts may be automatically applied to offset any negative account balance.
- The clawback will continue until the negative balance is fully resolved, including any associated fees or penalties.
- Organizations will not receive payouts while a negative balance exists, and all future earnings will be applied to the outstanding balance first.
- {getCurrentDomainName()} may apply clawbacks to earnings from any transactions, products, or services processed through the platform.
Organizations agree that players.cards has the right to automatically apply future earnings to negative balances without prior notice, and Organizations waive any claims related to such clawbacks.
6.6.3 Suspension of Payouts for Negative Balances
players.cards reserves the right to suspend, withhold, or delay payouts to Organizations if their account balance becomes negative or if there are outstanding financial obligations. This includes:
- Suspending all payouts immediately upon detection of a negative account balance.
- Withholding payouts until the negative balance is resolved and the account returns to a positive or zero balance.
- Delaying payouts if there are pending refunds, chargebacks, disputes, or other financial obligations that may result in a negative balance.
- Maintaining payout suspension until all outstanding obligations, including fees and penalties, are fully satisfied.
Organizations acknowledge that payout suspension may occur without prior notice and that players.cardsis not liable for any consequences resulting from such suspension, including but not limited to cash flow issues, business disruptions, or financial losses.
Organizations are responsible for monitoring their account balance and ensuring they maintain sufficient funds to cover all potential refunds, chargebacks, and other financial obligations. Organizations should not rely on future payouts to cover existing or anticipated refund obligations.
6A. Raffles and Fundraisers
players.cards provides tools for event organizers to run raffles, drawings, and fundraisers. Laws governing raffles, sweepstakes, and charitable gaming vary widely by jurisdiction. Organizers are solely responsible for determining whether a raffle or fundraiser is permitted where the event is held and for obtaining any required licenses, registrations, or approvals.
players.cards does not monitor, enforce, or guarantee compliance with local, state, provincial, or federal rules for raffles or fundraisers. We do not provide legal advice. Organizers should consult qualified counsel before selling raffle tickets or conducting drawings.
Ticket buyers must review organizer-provided terms and the platform Terms before purchasing. players.cards is not liable for organizer conduct, prize fulfillment, or regulatory violations related to raffles run through the Services.
7. Custom Domain Names
players.cards offers custom domain name services that allow users to connect their own domain names to their player card pages and other content on the platform. The following terms govern the use of custom domain names through our platform.
7.1 Domain Name Types
players.cards offers two types of custom domain name services:
- Bring Your Own Domain: Users provide their own domain name that they already own or have access to. Users are responsible for configuring DNS settings with their domain hosting provider.
- Managed Domain: players.cards handles domain registration and setup on behalf of the user, subject to domain availability.
7.2 Bring Your Own Domain
Users who choose the "Bring Your Own Domain" option must:
- Own or have administrative access to the domain name they wish to use.
- Pay a one-time setup fee before configuring their domain name.
- Update the DNS CNAME record with their domain hosting provider to point to the platform's designated DNS target.
- Ensure their domain hosting provider supports CNAME records for their domain type.
Once the DNS CNAME record is properly configured and propagated, visitors to the custom domain name will be directed to the user's configured player card page or other content on the platform. Users are solely responsible for maintaining access to their domain name and ensuring their DNS settings remain properly configured.
Players.Cards is not responsible for any issues, errors, or failures related to DNS configuration, domain hosting provider services, or domain name access. Users must resolve all domain-related technical issues directly with their domain hosting provider.
7.3 Managed Domain
Users who choose the "Managed Domain" option acknowledge and agree that:
- Domain name availability is not guaranteed and is subject to domain registrar availability and registration requirements.
- Managed domains require a recurring annual payment of $40 (or the then-current fee as displayed on the platform).
- {getCurrentDomainName()} will handle domain registration and DNS configuration on behalf of the user.
- If the managed domain service is cancelled or payment is not renewed, any purchased domain name will not be renewed and will expire according to the domain registrar's policies.
- Users will lose access to the domain name if payment is not maintained, and {getCurrentDomainName()} is not responsible for any consequences of domain expiration.
players.cards reserves the right to cancel or suspend managed domain services at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to non-payment, violation of these Terms, or technical issues. In such cases, the domain name will not be renewed, and users will not be entitled to a refund of any payments made.
7.4 Domain Name Changes and Cancellations
Users may change or cancel their custom domain name at any time. However:
- Changing to a new domain name may require a new setup fee or recurring payment, depending on the domain type.
- Cancelling a managed domain will result in the domain not being renewed, and users will lose access to the domain upon expiration.
- No refunds will be provided for setup fees or payments already made for domain services, regardless of when the domain is cancelled or changed.
- Users are responsible for updating or removing DNS records with their domain hosting provider when cancelling a "Bring Your Own Domain" service.
7.5 Platform Limitations and Liability
Players.Cards bears no liability for:
- Domain name availability, registration failures, or inability to register a desired domain name.
- DNS propagation delays, configuration errors, or issues with domain hosting providers.
- Domain name expiration, loss of domain access, or consequences of non-renewal.
- Interruptions in service due to domain-related issues, DNS failures, or domain registrar problems.
- Any costs, fees, or damages resulting from domain name changes, cancellations, or expiration.
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Players.Cards, its affiliates, and its officers from any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from the use of custom domain names, including but not limited to DNS configuration issues, domain expiration, or loss of domain access.
7.6 Domain Name Ownership
For "Bring Your Own Domain" services, users retain full ownership and control of their domain name. For "Managed Domain" services, the domain name is registered by players.cards on behalf of the user, but users acknowledge that they do not have direct ownership or control over the domain registration. Upon cancellation or non-renewal of a managed domain, users will not have the right to transfer the domain name to another registrar or retain access to the domain.
8. Officiating Services
players.cards is a technology platform that helps event organizers find, schedule, and coordinate officials (including referees and umpires). We provide tools such as self-signup, assignments, scheduling, and (where enabled) payment facilitation. We are not the employer, agent, or representative of any official or event organization, and we do not supervise games, evaluate performance, set pay rates, or decide who works which contest. Your substantive relationship when you officiate is with the organization running the event, not with players.cards.
Event organizers may publish supplemental rules or terms for their events (for example, dress code, arrival time, cancellation policy, or pay). Those terms are between you and the organizer. players.cards does not review, endorse, or enforce organizer-specific terms and is not responsible for their accuracy, legality, or enforcement.
8.1 Officials, event organizations, contact information, and disputes
By signing up to officiate—including through self-signup, accepting an invitation or assignment, or otherwise using officiating features—you agree to share your contact and profile information with the organization operating the event as reasonably needed to run the event and pay you (such as name, email, phone, and assignment details). Organizers are responsible for how they use that information subject to our Privacy Policy.
Compensation, reimbursement, timing of payment, tax classification, cancellations, no-shows, and any disagreement about money or working conditions are solely between the event organization and the official (or the official’s guardian where applicable). Players.Cards is not a party to those agreements, does not guarantee that organizers will pay, and does not adjudicate billing or wage disputes.
Players.Cards does not participate in or mediate conflicts between officials, players, teams, fans, or tournament organizers, including disputes over calls, assignments, or conduct. We do not guarantee timely or accurate payment for officiating services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Players.Cards disclaims liability for injuries, property damage, personal disputes, employment or contractor classification claims, and any other damages or losses arising from officiating or from interactions between officials and event organizations, except where liability cannot be excluded by applicable law.
8.2 Officiating payouts and Stripe Connect (including minors)
When you use the Services to receive money for officiating (for example, bank payouts through Stripe Connect), you agree that payout setup, identity verification, and tax reporting are handled through our third-party payments partners (including Stripe). You must provide accurate information and complete any required verification steps on that partner’s systems.
Not tax or legal advice. Nothing in these Terms is tax, legal, or accounting advice. All users should consult a qualified tax professional (such as a certified public accountant) and, when appropriate, legal counsel for their own situation.
Minors and account holders. If you are at least 13 years of age and meet Stripe’s and our eligibility requirements, you may complete Stripe Connect for officiating payouts on your own Players.Cards login using your own tax identification, identity verification, and bank or payout details, subject to Stripe’s terms and applicable law. If you are under 13, or you cannot complete Stripe’s requirements on your own, a parent or legal guardian with their own Players.Cards account may complete Stripe Connect on your behalf using the guardian payout flow we provide (while signed in as the guardian, with the minor’s account properly linked in our system). The connected Stripe account is tied to whoever completes setup—the official’s own information or the guardian’s, as applicable—and that person will be prompted to log in to Stripe (or create a Stripe account) as part of setup.
Information returns (for example, Form 1099). For U.S. federal tax purposes, event organizations that pay you through the platform may be required to report payments on information returns (such as Form 1099-NEC or other IRS forms) when amounts paid to the connected Stripe account exceed applicable thresholds in a calendar year. A commonly cited threshold for certain types of nonemployee compensation is $600, but reporting rules, thresholds, and form types depend on the facts, the payer’s obligations, and current law. The recipient named on such filings is generally the Stripe Connect account holder. Players.Cards does not provide tax advice and does not decide what any organization must file; consult your tax advisor.
- The Stripe Connect account holder (whether the official or a guardian who completed the guardian flow) is responsible for the accuracy of information submitted to Stripe, for maintaining the connected account, and for tax and legal obligations arising from payouts to that account, as applicable law requires.
- When a guardian completes setup, the minor is responsible for ensuring a linked guardian is available and for sharing any instructions or links the platform provides.
- Players.Cards does not decide whether a guardian–minor arrangement or your age is legally sufficient for your jurisdiction or tax situation; consult qualified advisors if you are unsure.
- Players.Cards is not a party to payouts between organizers and officials and does not guarantee that any user will qualify for or complete Stripe verification.
8.3 Stripe Express payout fees (officials and event staff)
When you receive payouts through Stripe Connect using an Express account (including as an official or event staff member), Stripe charges fees on the connected account. Current standard fees we surface in product are:
- Stripe charges Connect Express accounts for payouts: $0.25 plus 0.25% of each payout amount.
- Stripe may also charge a $2 monthly account fee in months when you receive at least one payout (see Stripe’s current pricing).
- By continuing, you agree you have read these fees and our Terms.
Unless the organizer has turned on “cover Express payout fees” for that tournament or camp (a per-event setting), we withhold the per-payout fee (and the monthly fee when it applies) from the amount transferred to your Stripe account so the platform can offset Stripe’s charges. When that setting is on for the event, your Stripe transfer can match the full agreed payout while the organizer’s Stripe debit is increased accordingly.
Fee amounts and Stripe’s rules may change; see Stripe’s documentation for the latest. players.cards does not control Stripe’s pricing.
9. Volunteers and Event Staff at Events
players.cards provides scheduling, organizational, and management tools for volunteers and event staff at tournaments, camps, and other events (collectively referred to as "Events"). The following terms govern the use of those tools through our platform.
9.1 Platform Role and Limitations

We provide tools for volunteer and event staff sign-up, scheduling, role assignment, and payment processing, but we are not a party to any agreements between event organizers and volunteers or event staff. Players.Cards does not employ, manage, supervise, or control volunteers or event staff, and we bear no responsibility for volunteer or event staff conduct, performance, or participation during Events.

- Resolving any disputes, conflicts, or issues that arise with volunteers or event staff or their participation.
9.3 Volunteers and Event Staff Payments and Payouts
All arrangements regarding compensation, payment amounts, payment schedules, and payouts are solely between the event organizer and the volunteer or event staff member. Players.Cards is not responsible for:
- Determining or negotiating payment amounts or compensation structures for volunteers or event staff.
- Ensuring timely payment or payout to volunteers and event staff by event organizers.
- Resolving payment disputes between event organizers and volunteers or event staff.
- Guaranteeing payment accuracy or completeness for volunteer or event staff roles.
- Handling refunds, chargebacks, or payment reversals related to compensation for volunteers or event staff.
While players.cards may provide payment processing tools, the event organizer is solely responsible for all financial obligations to volunteers and event staff. Any payment processing fees, transaction costs, or related charges are the responsibility of the event organizer.
9.4 Volunteers and Event Staff Responsibilities
Volunteers and event staff are responsible for:
- Understanding and agreeing to the specific terms, roles, and responsibilities for each Event they sign up for.
- Fulfilling their assigned duties in a professional and responsible manner.
- Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety requirements during Events.
- Resolving payment or compensation issues directly with the event organizer, not with {getCurrentDomainName()}.
- Maintaining appropriate conduct and behavior during Events.
9.5 Platform Liability Protection
Players.Cards bears no liability for any issues, disputes, or problems that arise from volunteer or event staff participation in Events, including but not limited to:
- Misconduct, negligence, or failure to perform assigned duties by a volunteer or event staff member.
- Payment disputes, delayed payments, or non-payment of compensation for volunteers or event staff.
- Injuries, accidents, or damages caused by or involving volunteers or event staff during Events.
- No-shows, cancellations, or failure to attend scheduled shifts by volunteers or event staff.
- Disputes between volunteers or event staff and event organizers, participants, or other parties.
- Violations of laws, regulations, or safety requirements by volunteers or event staff.
- Any negative consequences resulting from volunteer or event staff participation or lack thereof.
Event organizers, volunteers, and event staff agree to indemnify and hold harmless Players.Cards, its affiliates, and its officers from any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from volunteer or event staff participation in Events, including but not limited to claims related to conduct, payment disputes, injuries, or any other issues involving volunteers or event staff.
9.6 No Employment Relationship
Volunteers and event staff are not employees, contractors, or agents of Players.Cards. Any relationship between volunteers or event staff and event organizers is independent of players.cards, and we do not create, maintain, or guarantee any employment, contractor, or agency relationship between parties. Event organizers are solely responsible for any employment law compliance, tax obligations, insurance requirements, or other legal obligations related to their use of volunteers and event staff.
9.7 Dispute Resolution
All disputes, conflicts, or issues related to volunteers and event staff, including payment disputes, performance issues, or conduct problems, must be resolved directly between the event organizer and the volunteer or event staff member.players.cards does not participate in, mediate, or resolve disputes between event organizers and volunteers or event staff. Platform-related technical issues will be handled by our customer support team, but we are not responsible for resolving disputes regarding volunteers and event staff, payments, or participation.
9.8 Platform Rights
players.cards reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to volunteer and event staff management tools for any event organizer, volunteer, or event staff member who violates these Terms and Conditions, engages in fraudulent activity, or misuses the platform. Such suspension or termination does not affect any existing obligations between event organizers and volunteers or event staff, which remain the sole responsibility of the parties involved.
10. Host Space Volunteer Opportunities
players.cards provides an optional host rental management solution that facilitates connections between event organizers, host families, and renters seeking accommodations during tournaments, camps, and other events (collectively referred to as "Events"). The following terms govern the use of host space services through our platform.
10.1 Platform Role and Limitations
players.cards acts solely as a technology platform that facilitates communication and coordination between event organizers, host families, and renters. We provide tools for listing host spaces, managing reservations, processing payments, and coordinating accommodations, but we are not a party to any rental agreements between host families and renters. Players.Cards does not own, operate, manage, or control any host properties, and we bear no responsibility for the condition, safety, or suitability of any host spaces listed on the platform.
Players.Cards is not responsible for any property damage, theft, loss of personal property, injuries, accidents, or other issues that may occur at host properties, regardless of whether such issues arise from the use of our optional host rental management solution. All rental arrangements, property management, and related responsibilities are solely between host families and renters.
10.2 Host Family Responsibilities

- Ensuring compliance with all applicable short-term rental laws, regulations, and ordinances in their jurisdiction, including but not limited to zoning laws, building codes, health and safety regulations, and occupancy limits.

Host families acknowledge that listing their property on the platform does not guarantee that their property complies with applicable laws or that they have obtained all necessary licenses or permits.

- Property damage, theft, or loss of personal property at host spaces.

13. Recruiting Locker Room and Player Card Sharing
Players.Cards charges athletes for recruiting distribution services when they choose to share their player card with university programs through the Recruiting Locker Room. The following terms govern this service:
13.1 Schools pay nothing and receive nothing
Schools and athletic programs do not pay Players.Cards to use the Recruiting Locker Room and do not receive any payment from athlete locker room fees. Programs may share their Recruiting Locker Room link with prospective student-athletes as an optional recruiting channel.
13.2 Athlete fees are for technology services only
When an athlete chooses to share a player card through the Recruiting Locker Room, the fee is paid to Players.Cards for technology and recruiting distribution services—not to any school, athletic department, or institution. Players.Cards operates independently of all universities and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NCAA or any athletic department.
Athletes may choose from the following locker room sharing plans:
- $99 per year per school — share with one college program for one year, renewable annually. Cancel anytime before renewal.
- $1,000 unlimited single sport until high school graduation — unlimited college locker rooms in one sport. This plan is non-refundable.
- $2,000 all-access until high school graduation — every sport and every college locker room until the athlete graduates high school. This plan is non-refundable.
Processing fees may apply at checkout. Annual plans expire one year from purchase unless renewed. Sport-unlimited and all-access plans end when the athlete's high school graduation year has passed. Except where required by law, locker room sharing fees are non-refundable on sport-unlimited and all-access plans.
13.3 Participation is optional; other recruiting channels remain available
Submission of a player card through the Recruiting Locker Room is entirely optional for athletes. Coaches and programs may continue to receive recruiting information through email, camps, showcases, tournaments, and other recruiting channels—with or without use of the Recruiting Locker Room.
13.4 No pay-for-placement or institutional compensation
This service is not a payment to an institution for recruitment, admission, or roster placement. Key points:
- Athletes voluntarily pay Players.Cards for third-party technology services.
- No school or athletic program sets, collects, or receives athlete locker room fees.
- Sharing a Recruiting Locker Room link does not require athletes to pay, and programs do not condition access on payment.
- Players.Cards does not represent or act on behalf of any educational institution.
Players.Cards does not provide legal advice. Athletes and programs remain responsible for applicable NCAA recruiting contact rules (such as contact periods) when communicating, independent of whether they use the Recruiting Locker Room.
13.5 No Guarantee of Recruitment or Coach Contact
Sharing your player card with university programs does not guarantee recruitment, scholarship offers, or any form of athletic opportunity. The platform serves as a communication tool only, and all recruitment decisions remain solely with the university programs.
Paying a locker room sharing fee does not guarantee that any coach or staff member will personally respond to you. Programs may review applications on a rolling basis, and your card may remain in their system without a direct reply. There are no guarantees of personal responses, callbacks, or one-on-one contact from coaches or administrators.
14. Player Cards, NIL, and Promotional Use
Athletes who create or sell digital player cards on the platform use their name, image, and likeness (NIL). By creating a player card, you grant Players.Cards the rights described in Section 14.5 below. Athletes who sell cards must also comply with all applicable NIL rules and regulations, including those established by their educational institution, state laws, and NCAA guidelines. The following terms govern player cards and NIL on the platform:
14.1 Institutional Revenue Sharing Requirements
Athletes associated with high schools or universities that require revenue sharing for NIL activities must comply with their institution's specific requirements. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Remitting a percentage of Net Revenue (gross receipts less third-party transaction fees) to the institution as required by their NIL policy.
- Providing quarterly statements of revenues earned from player card sales to the institution.
- Ensuring all NIL activities comply with institutional branding and affiliation guidelines.
- Obtaining necessary approvals before engaging in NIL activities that reference the institution.
14.2 Athlete Responsibilities
Athletes are solely responsible for:
- Understanding and complying with all applicable NIL rules and regulations.
- Consulting with appropriate advisors (legal, compliance, or institutional) before engaging in NIL activities.
- Maintaining accurate records of all NIL revenue and ensuring proper reporting to their institution.
- Ensuring that any use of institutional branding or affiliation in player cards complies with institutional policies.
14.3 Platform Limitations
Players.Cards provides a platform for NIL activities but does not:
- Provide legal advice regarding NIL compliance or institutional requirements.
- Monitor or enforce compliance with institutional NIL policies or revenue sharing requirements.
- Facilitate direct payments between athletes and their institutions for NIL revenue sharing.
- Guarantee compliance with any specific institutional, state, or NCAA NIL requirements.
14.4 Consequences of Non-Compliance
Athletes who fail to comply with applicable NIL rules and regulations may face consequences including, but not limited to, institutional sanctions, NCAA violations, or legal action. Players.Cards bears no responsibility for any consequences arising from an athlete's failure to comply with NIL requirements.
14.5 Promotional and Advertising Use of Player Cards
When you create a player card, you agree that Players.Cards may use the NIL displayed on that card—including your name, photo, stats, team affiliation, and other card content—for promotional and advertising purposes on and off the platform. This includes featuring your card or profile in marketing materials, emails, in-app messaging, website content, and posts on social media channels operated byPlayers.Cards or its affiliates, to highlight athletes and the player card experience and to encourage others to create, buy, sell, and trade cards.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and create derivative works from your player card NIL for those promotional and advertising purposes. We may edit or crop content for format or clarity (for example, social post sizing or short highlight clips) but will not materially misrepresent your athletic record or affiliation. This license continues while your card remains on the platform and for a reasonable period afterward for content already published, unless you remove the card or we remove it under these Terms.
This grant is in addition to—not a replacement for—your obligations under Section 14.1–14.4. You remain responsible for ensuring that creating a card and allowing this promotional use complies with your school, league, state, and NCAA NIL rules. If your institution or governing body restricts how your NIL may be used, you must not create a player card or must obtain required approvals before doing so. We do not pay separate compensation for promotional use covered by this section; any card sale or platform compensation terms remain as stated elsewhere in these Terms.
